FSG Empleo
The meeting has gathered 35 young students from the three online national TándEMs: Communication in Digital Environments, Administration in NGOs and Community Promotion of Health and Gender Equality.
The joint meeting of the students from the online TándEM programme that gathered young people from different parts of Spain took place in the Fundación Secretariado Gitano headquarters.
The Director General of Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Sara Giménez, welcomed the TándEM programme participants eagerly, marking the onset of three days of training and professional growth.
TándEM is a work-linked training programme aimed at Roma under the age of 30. It is a programme from the Spanish State Public Employment Service (funded by Next Generation) whose purpose is to professionally train and facilitate the labour inclusion of unemployed young people.
This time, the students from the TándEM programmes of Communication in Digital Environments, TándEM of Administration in NGOs and TándEM of Community Promotion of Health and Gender Equality joined the event. The students of these programmes have been following their classes in online format from the FSG territorial headquarters where they live and, once again, had the chance to participate in face-to-face workshops in Madrid. Alongside strengthening cooperation among Tándems, the meeting has served as platform to network and share resources in an environment of mutual support.
During these days, alongside taking intensive classes, they have interacted with professionals from their fields, have carried out practical activities and have gone on with their professional as well as personal growth, finishing their intensive training and starting their working stage with the contract signing.
With initiatives like the TándEM Programme, Fundación Secretariado Gitano reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities and the empowerment of the Roma youth, showing that training and employment are key to build a more just and fair future for everyone.
