A delegation of European NGOs pay us a visit to learn about our work in employment and education

From 26 to 29 March, FSG hosted a fact-finding visit as part of “Find your way into the world of work”, a project in which FSG participates and whose objective is to support disadvantaged young people as they look to gain equal access to quality education and employment.

During the visit, technicians from the education, employment and international areas presented the Foundation's work in these areas. The fact-finding visit also included a stop at two educational centres that collaborate with FSG and a stop at the Inventors Club of the NGO Creatica. The latter hosts students from the Promociona programme, where they are introduced to digital creation and encouraged to develop their own technology-based projects.  As part of the visits, participants had the opportunity to talk with counsellors, teachers and Promociona students.

Additionally, a Business Round Table was organised where companies collaborating in the Acceder programme (ISS Facility Services and Expertus) could share their partnership experiences with FSG and reflect on the value of cooperation between companies/private foundations and NGOs to boost labour integration of the Gitano population. What's more, one of our participants had the opportunity speak at the round table.

The “Find your way into the world of work” project is financed by Norwegian funds, and its objective is to support disadvantaged young people between 15 and 29 years old, including many Gitanos, in their effort to gain equal access to quality education and employment.

The Project’s partners are: Fundación Autonomia (Hungary), Arete Youth Foundation y Trust for Social Achievement (Bulgaria), Cáritas Rumania (Romania) and Fundación Secretariado Gitano (Spain).
