Fundación Secretariado Gitano launches a new “Introduction to Programming” training course [editar]
A new edition of the “Introduction to Programming” course is now underway, aimed at young Roma who are motivated and interested in technology.
Fostering careers in technology. A digital world within reach
This week saw the start of a new edition of the online course “Introduction to Programming”, an intensive training programme aimed at young Roma interested in discovering the world of technology and taking their first steps in programming.
The course, which is being delivered online from 19 to 27 May, combines live sessions with digital content, offering a dynamic, flexible learning experience tailored to the needs of the students.
The group consists of 10 participants from different Spanish cities, which brings richness and diversity to the learning experience.
From the outset, the high level of motivation and interest in new technologies has been striking – key factors for the course’s success. The students are progressing at a very good pace, showing commitment, curiosity and a strong desire to learn, even among those with no previous experience of online learning.
One of the most positive aspects of this edition has been the rapid adaptation to the online environment. Far from being a barrier, digital platforms are establishing themselves as a friendly, accessible and secure space where students can participate with confidence, share their queries and progress independently with the support of the teaching team.
Artificial Intelligence, an ally of learning
In this new edition, artificial intelligence takes centre stage as a tool to support learning. Its incorporation enriches the learning experience, offering new ways to resolve queries, practise concepts and support students throughout the process. This approach reinforces the course’s pedagogical innovation and contributes to the development of essential skills in the current context.
This training initiative forms part of the “Empleando Digital SinergIA. Artificial Intelligence in Labour Market Inclusion” project, which is funded by Priority 6 of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) Programme for Social Inclusion, Child Guarantee and the Fight against Poverty, and co-funded by the Accenture Foundation.
