Presenting the project "Empleando Digital SinergIA" focused on using Artificial Intelligence for labour market integration [editar]
Fundación Secretariado Gitano and the Red Cross launch an innovative project that will use Artificial Intelligence to improve the employability of people in vulnerable situations.
Together with the Spanish Red Cross, we are launching the Empleando Digital SinergIA project, an ambitious social innovation initiative that seeks to transform the employability of people in vulnerable situations through the ethical and strategic use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The project is co-funded by the Accenture Foundation and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), and will run from 2025 to 2029.
Key objectives of the project:
- Train vulnerable people in digital skills and artificial intelligence to improve their employability in an increasingly automated labour market.
- Strengthen the skills of the technical staff of both entities, incorporating AI tools to improve the impact of their work.
- Transfer methodologies and learning to other social organisations, both at national and European level.
With a collaborative vision and impact, Empleando Digital SinergIA is positioned as a benchmark in the application of artificial intelligence at the service of the socio-labour inclusion of the people furthest away from the labour market.
Principales acciones y resultados esperados
- Specialised technological training for people from socially excluded groups in areas such as computer programming, cybersecurity or web development.
- Professional mentoring, especially with women leaders in technology, to inspire and guide trainees.
- Creation of a Virtual Social Centre, which will allow socio-labour intervention from the Internet, with a special impact on people in rural areas.
- Testing of AI tools for employment guidance and also for self-employment, inspired by national and European models.
- Elaboration of a decalogue for an inclusive and fair AI, guiding the ethical use of these technologies in social contexts.
- Dissemination and wide projection of the DigCompLabor Professional Digital Competence Framework, a digital competence assessment tool adapted to technical staff for job placement based on the European DIGCOMP framework.
Empleando Digital SinergIA builds on the lessons learned from two previous innovation projects also promoted by the Fundación Secretariado Gitano and the Spanish Red Cross:
- Socio-labour itineraries from analogue to digital (2017- 2019)
- Digital transformation in the labour insertion of vulnerable groups (2021-2023)
