Employment [editar]
Finding employment is key in the fight against social exclusion and discrimination. At FSG we develop vocational training and employment initiatives, such as the Acceder programme, as one of the keys to inclusion and social transformation
The employment situation of the Spanish Roma is characterised by low labour market inclusion, a low employment rate, high unemployment rates (52%, three times higher than the general population) and very precarious working conditions with little protection.
A new generation demands job opportunities
Roma is a very young demographic, which in today's society means a very vulnerable socioeconomic status. 66% of Roma are under thirty years of age.

‘I have been training and doing courses until I have found what I really like, which is working with people (...) If I could go back in time, I would choose to continue studying.’
Manuela González

’Programmes like Acceder should be there to help people who deserve an opportunity. If I went to the company on my own, I wouldn't be working there, because they don't usually give you the opportunity.'
Joaquín Amador

‘We need to work, but not just any old way. We want decent jobs. When you work, you are something, and being something in this society makes you feel complete, happy and satisfied.’
Eleazar Jiménez
For decent employment

Vocational training and employment
We work with people, responding to their needs and offering tools to facilitate access to resources in all areas of intervention from a comprehensive perspective.

Collaboration with companies, the key to the success of our programmes
Every year we sign collaboration agreements with more than 400 companies throughout Spain and we have more than 3 600 collaborating companies.

Political and social advocacy
We advocate for public authorities to implement specific vocational training and employment plans aimed at the Roma.
Our featured employment programmes

Acceder
This is our training and employment programme, with more than 20 years of experience, which promotes the incorporation of the Roma into the labour market as a gateway to social inclusion. We try to provide a comprehensive response to the situation of remoteness and exclusion from the labour market that the Roma has historically experienced.

Learning by doing
An employment training initiative aimed at unemployed young people, aged between 18 and 30, in social difficulty, which alternates theoretical training with practical training in real work environments.

Empleando digital
This project is carried out in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross and the Accenture Foundation. The objective is to improve the employability of the most vulnerable people, promoting the use of digital tools and bringing them closer to the world of technology.
