Regional elections in Spain 2025/2026 [editar]

From FSG we want to contribute to the electoral process and decision-making in Spain by providing concrete proposals to advance Roma equality within the framework of the guarantee of social rights, the fight against discrimination and the promotion of recognition and participation.

In the framework of the next regional elections in Spain we present the Fundación Secretariado Gitano proposals to advance in the equality of Roma people.

During the coming months, elections will be held in different Spanish regions: Extremadura, Aragon and Castile and Leon. Here we present our proposals, which we will make available to the different candidacies of the political parties, to advance the equality of Roma people within the framework of guaranteeing social rights, combating discrimination and promoting recognition and participation.

From FSG we believe that to achieve real equality of the Roma population it is necessary to apply in public policies an integrated approach that recognizes the multiple discriminations that the Roma population suffers and that implies, therefore, the development of specific measures and adapted to the starting situation and the specific circumstances of the Roma population in each context.

The measures we present are intended to compensate for the disadvantaged situation of the Roma population and to effectively address the high incidence of poverty and the deep inequality gap affecting the Roma community in areas such as education, employment or access to housing, among others.
