FSG IN EUROPE [editar]

In Europe, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano works to promote equality, inclusion and the rights of the Roma through advocacy, transnational cooperation and the strategic use of European funds.

Our featured actions in Europe

Political advocacy

We work to influence public authorities and society to defend the rights of Roma and to ensure that the issues that most affect them are put on the European political agenda.

European Projects

We collaborate with relevant European actors in projects that contribute to improving the situation of Roma in Europe.

Dissemination and transfer

We transfer the FSG's programmes and its knowledge to the European context, so that Roma in other countries can benefit from formulas of proven success.

Since 2007 we coordinate the EURoma Network

The European Network on Roma Equality under EU Funds (EURoma Network) brings together Roma policy makers and European Cohesion Policy Funds from 15 EU Member States, with the aim of improving the use of these funds for the promotion of social inclusion, equal opportunities and anti-discrimination of the Roma community.

Strategic themes of our work in Europe

Roma children

We work at European level for quality education for Roma children and to end educational segregation.

Decent housing

We focus on advocacy to end segregated housing and slums, a major blight on the Roma community in many European countries.

EU Funds

We coordinate the European Network EURoma on Roma equality under EU Funds.

ROMA IN EUROPE

The Roma today are spread all over the world. Between 10 and 12 million Roma live in Europe, still facing serious inequalities in areas that are very significant for social inclusion.
