At the FSG, we are committed to Work Integration Social Enterprises as a means of providing access to employment for the Roma population at risk of exclusion.

Fundación Secretariado Gitano manages the programme ‘STRENGTHENING WORK INTEGRATION SOCIAL ENTERPRISES UNDER A COMPREHENSIVE MODEL’, developed within the framework of the Operational Programme for Social Inclusion and Social Economy (POISES), co-financed by the European Social Fund and managed by the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) as an intermediate body.

A distinguishing feature of our Work Integration Social Enterprise model is the integration of intervention within employment pathways. This integration allows our companies to benefit from people who have previously undergone employment guidance, skills training, technical training or non-work placements, as well as providing access to intermediation resources with companies in the programme in order to facilitate the subsequent transition to the labour market.

The programme is aimed at both the three Work Integration Social Enterprises promoted by Fundación Secretariado Gitano: Vedelar, Nabut and Uzipen; and the people who work for them and are following inclusion pathways.

Our aim is to take a comprehensive approach to the work being carried out through our Work Integration Social Enterprises, creating a model that provides consistency, strength, competitiveness, visibility and transferability to the activity carried out. To achieve this, the programme has three objectives:

  • To create a consistent, competitive, visible and transferable model.
  • To develop common lines of action for the strengthening, competitive improvement and expansion of companies.
  • To evaluate opportunities for the implementation of new lines of activity that complement existing ones.
