Online course Introduction to Programming for the Roma gets underway in Spain [editar]
The Innovation Department of the Sub-Directorate for Employment from Fundación Secretariado Gitano is launching a training course that we hope will motivate young Roma to continue learning new technologies, which are undoubtedly the future.
This Monday saw the enthusiastic start of the course ‘Introduction to Programming: From Theory to Practice’, an intensive online training programme that brings together young Roma from different parts of Spain with a common goal: to take their first steps in the world of programming.
During this first day, participants met the teaching team, familiarised themselves with the learning platforms and began to explore the fundamentals of computational logic and algorithms, thus laying the foundations for the rest of the course.
The group is made up of people who stand out for their curiosity and motivation towards technology. This course not only seeks to impart technical knowledge, but also to awaken vocations and detect talent. Throughout the week, practical content in SQL, PSeInt and Java will be covered, with guided exercises and personalised support.
This training is part of a broader strategy to boost digital employability, and those who successfully complete the course will have access to new specialised training opportunities within the Empleando Digital SinergIA innovation project.
The journey has just begun and promises to be exciting!
