The total number of cases in this year’s report is 364, a drop of 58 on the previous year. The drop in cases is mostly because in 2020, the European Commission Code of Conduct did not perform a monitoring round on countering illegal hate speech online, which FSG has been participating in as a trusted flagger for the past six years.
