FSG Internacional
On 10 and 11 March, a delegation from Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG) visited the headquarters of the French organisation Apprentis d'Auteuil in Paris.
The team, made up of representatives from the international department and the Alliances team of Fundación Secretariado Gitano, had the opportunity to learn about the work of this organisation and share experiences on fundraising and the establishment of strategic alliances.
The sustainability of social programmes is a key challenge for many organisations, and Apprentis d'Auteuil has developed a solid and successful strategy in this area over the years. Learning from their experience and methodologies is a great opportunity to strengthen our work and guarantee the continuity of our programmes aimed at equal opportunities for the Roma community.
A relationship of mutual learning
The collaboration between Fundación Secretariado Gitano and Apprentis d'Auteuil has been going strong for 10 years now. After an initial visit by FSG to Paris, the French NGO has visited our offices in Madrid on two occasions to learn more about our employment and social innovation programmes, especially the Acceder Programme, which promotes access to employment for the Roma, and our innovative initiatives to improve the digital skills of Roma youth.
Apprentis d'Auteuil is a social organisation founded in 1866 and recognised as a public service organisation in France. Its work focuses on supporting, educating and training young people in vulnerable situations, both in France and in other countries.
On behalf of Fundación Secretariado Gitano we would like to thank the entire team at Apprentis d'Auteuil for their warm welcome and the generosity with which they have shared their knowledge. We are convinced that the lessons learned from this meeting will enable us to strengthen our strategies for fundraising and forging alliances, thus ensuring the sustainability of our programmes and services in favour of equality for the Roma.
