Orange y FSG
The Orange Foundation and Fundación Secretariado Gitano yesterday signed an agreement to activate a new edition of the free training programme 'EDYTA', aimed at facilitating inclusion and access to the labour market for women at risk of social exclusion, as well as third sector associations that work with women in situations of vulnerability and low employability.
Daniel Morales, Director of Sustainability at Orange and the Orange Foundation, and Arantza Fernández, Director of the Employment Department of Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG), were responsible for signing this reactivation of the EDYTA Programme courses at the Orange Digital Center of the Orange Foundation in Madrid. The event also took place within the framework of the 'EDYTA Meeting', which brought together trainers and students of the programme at the centre.
EDYTA Programme reactivation agreement
The Orange Foundation and Fundación Secretariado Gitano have formalised the agreement that allows the continuation of the 'EDYTA Programme' classes in different FSG classrooms in Spain.
Both Morales and Fernández agreed that "the signing of this agreement encourages both organisations to continue with the great work that has been carried out since 2017: to offer an opportunity to grow and develop to hundreds of women in vulnerable situations."
EDYTA Meeting
The signing ceremony coincided with the celebration of the 'EDYTA Meeting', which brought together both trainers and students from the different organisations collaborating in the programme.
During its six years of existence, the 'EDYTA Programme' with Fundación Secretariado Gitano has enabled women in vulnerable situations and at risk of exclusion to have the opportunity for social inclusion and access to the labour market, either by finding a job or through entrepreneurship, through the acquisition of personal and digital skills and competences..
As explained by the head of Education Projects at the Orange Foundation, Angélica Bautista, "the 'EDYTA programme' is carried out in collaboration with non-profit organisations and public administrations throughout Spain. Through this cooperation, in addition to the direct participants in the training, the programme reaches other indirect beneficiaries, who also take advantage of the benefits of these classrooms and who, together with the students, total nearly 4 000 people since the start of the project. This is a source of great pride for all of us who work on the project.
