A logistics training experience with AMAZON
In this month of March, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG) has started a collaboration with Amazon, with the experience of Amazon Foster.
Amazon Foster is an initiative of the diversity department of Amazon. to facilitate access to employment for vulnerable groups, for which they are intensely betting. Fundación Secretariado Gitanos is one of the organisations with the greatest participation in this initiative.
After the good experience last year in Valladolid, in 2023, Amazon has offered us to replicate the collaboration in 9 locations: Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Valencia, Valladolid, Zaragoza, Murcia, Asturias and Vigo.
Within the framework of this collaboration, our teams visit the Amazon logistic centre to learn more about the facilities, the characteristics of the position, and also to bring the FSG closer to the staff at Amazon. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the stations and carry out a “speed dating” with the selection managers with the aim of preparing the applications for the next peak recruitment periods.
The collaboration with Amazon is bearing many fruits thanks to the close coordination that we are maintaining and the work that the Acceder teams are doing to raise awareness, prepare and motivate the participants, especially women, amongst whom important role-models are being created.
