Change in the presidency of Fundación Secretariado GitanoAt the plenary meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano held on June 7, the founder and president of the entity since 1982, Pedro Puente Fernández, communicated his desire to leave the presidency. His replacement proposal has been the current vice president of the Foundation, Sara Giménez, who has obtained the unanimous endorsement of the board of trustees to assume the presidency.

Along these four decades of Pedro Puente leading the institution, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano has been a key actor and a fundamental driver of social promotion that has accompanied the progress made by the Roma community throughout this time, also playing an essential role in the defence of the rights, image and dignity of the Roma people within Spanish society.
