In the framework of the project “Find your way to the world of work” - Encuentra tu camino en el mundo laboral - from 22nd to 26th of March, a training course is being held aimed at the acquisition of Skills for Employment. The target group are young people from the city of Dos Hermanas (Seville).

The 15-hour workshop has among its objectives to work on the 10 skills that according to the World Health Organization, are essential for life and have proved their usefulness in the world of work. During the first three sessions, the participants have worked on self-knowledge, assertive communication, as well as on problem and conflict management, all of which are skills related to the improvement of employment opportunities.  

The topics that will be worked on in the last two sessions of the workshop, will be related to gaining knowledge of the labor market, deepening the techniques and strategies for job search and improving digital skills.

The commitment of the participants and the working methodology used in the sessions are turning the experience very successful. Moreover, the members of this first group, have reported positive impressions. The intention is to replicate the experience throughout the year with two more workshops of similar characteristics in Seville and Dos Hermanas.

The training has been prepared and carried out following the Covid-19 prevention protocol and respecting the measures established by the Andalusia’s government.
