ACCENTURE donates 6 million dollars to help thousands of young people find jobs in the Mediterranean area [editar]

Accenture and the Accenture Foundation makes a donation of 6 million dollars to the Education for Employment Foundation, which the majority will be used to provide on-line and onsite training to 25,700 disadvantaged youth in Spain, Morocco and Tunisia within the framework the Training for the Future program.

In Spain, the Education for Employment Foundation will launch the program with Caritas, Spanish Red Cross, FSC Inserta (ONCE Foundation), Fundación  Secretariado Gitano and Fundación  Tomillo. The objective is to provide the necessary skills to gain employment to young people in situations of exclusion. In Tunisia and Morocco Education for Employment Foundation will work directly with their own affiliates entities.

Training for the future gathers different NGO´s who contribute for the development of specialized e-learning and identifying new working opportunities. The program will face the challenge of the youth unemployment at both sides of the Mediterranean Sea (Spain, Tunis and Morocco) with a model that combines specific training  linked to specific jobs

The Accenture contribution is part of the company social action initiative “Skills to succeed” which aims to provide the skills to get a job or build a business to more than three million people around the world. In 2013, Accenture's contribution enabled the Education for Employment Foundation to develop a similar Training for the Future, which managed pilot program to more than 140 disadvantaged youth -80% of participants in the program obtain a job fixed as computer programmers. More than 50 of these young people received a job offer by Accenture.

As part this donation, Accenture will provide free consulting services that will implement the program in six countries. These services include the management and evaluation of projects as well as access to Accenture digital technology that will provide training new market-oriented skills such as communication, decision-making and customer relationships.

Education for Employment Foundation belongs to the international network of non-profit organizations Education For Employment (www.efe.org) and shares its mission of creating opportunities for unemployed youth in the Middle East and North Africa, through a model of training linked directly to jobs, support for the creation of new businesses and improving employability. Since 2006, Education For Employment was a pioneer in implementing a system based on labor demand that helped over 7,800 young unemployed to their first job, while has supported more than 1,660 companies to incorporate the talent to put focus requiring base. 52% of graduates of the organization are women, reflecting a focus on supporting the entry of women into the workforce. Education For Employment is characterized by measure their success by the rate of employment of its graduates, and also implements programs to promote self-employment, promote entrepreneurship and programs to improve employability. More than 30,000 young people have benefited from the programs of the organization. The Education For Employment Network is composed of affiliated local organizations in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Yemen with support offices in Europe (Madrid) in the US (New York and Washington, DC) and UAE (Dubai).
