FSG PRESENT “LEARNING BY DOING” AND “EUROMA NETWORK” AS BEST PRACTICES IN THE EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND ANNUAL MEETING.

Best practices in employment for young people in social exclusion and a European Network made up of representatives of twelve Member States led by the Spanish Government, with the aim of promoting Roma social inclusion.

European Commision, together with the European Social Fund administrative unit in Spain (UAFSE), assamble annually this meetings where the different Operative Programs (OP) are analyzed. Regional Governments, Ministries and other Intermediate Bodies both public and privates, as well as a broad representation of the European Commission all participates in this meetings.

From the side of FSG Carolina Fernández Deputy Executive Director of Advocacy and José Sánchez programs Deputy Director assisted.

Operative Programs´ different aspects were analyzed in the meetings, both qualitative and quantitative, including the main results, execution reports, evaluations and the financial execution. The program includes a section where the actions highlighted as best practices are presented. In this occasion, two of the programs developed by FSG and supported by ESF were included: “Learning by Doing”, a youth employment initiative addressed to disadvantaged groups that is having working insertions rates of 52%; and EURoma Network, an European Network that gathers 12 countries leaded by Spain and which goal is promote Roma social inclusion.
