FSG Internacional
On June 26th and 27th a team of 3 auditors from the European Court of Auditors (ECA) visited FSG in order to better familiarize themselves with the activities directed towards the inclusion of the Roma population.
This visit is part of a preliminary study which ECA is carrying out prior to realizing a Performance Audit on FSE and FEDER financed measures promoting social inclusion of the Roma population in the programming period 2014-2020.
The auditors were interested in learning about the difficulties and challenges involved in the design, execution and management of programs which are financed by Structural Funds and which are directed towards the social inclusion of the Roma population. They gave special attention to the assessment of objectives, results and the impact of actions financed by European funds.
The ECA is a European Union institution, with its headquarters in Luxembourg, whose mission is to oversee the financial management of the EU. Acting as an external auditor, it verifies that community funds are being correctly managed in accordance with the current rules and regulations. This is done from the perspective of optimizing resources. To the EU politicians responsible for the management of public finances, it offers guidance on how to improve this and how to guarantee that European citizens know how their money is being put to use.
