An awareness-raising campaign to condemn the existence of slum settlements in Spain
Chabolista.es is an awareness-raising campaign from the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, launched publicly on 20 October 2022. Its aim is to condemn the existence of slum settlements in our country: more than 11,000 Roma people still live in slums, constituting 2% of the Roma population. Despite advances in living conditions and reductions in slum living over recent decades, there are still around 270 settlements where many Roma people live in very poor conditions, including many children.

The Challenge of Tomorrow[editar]
A campaign to reclaim job opportunities for the Roma community
The awareness-raising campaign The Challenge of Tomorrow has been launched in order to call for more effective active employment policies for the Roma community and to highlight the results of the 20 years of Acceder, a training and employment programme run by the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, that has helped, over the last two decades, 33.300 people to gain access to employment and more than 82.000 people to improve their employability.

A campaign which demands working opportunities for young Roma men and women
The campaign calls for decent work for young Roma. It also highlights the need to invest in proactive employment policies which will be effective and inclusive, and which will complement the existing system of social protection. Such policies are the most effective means of combating structural poverty, breaking down barriers and generating opportunities, thus closing the current inequality gap.

THE ROMA SCHOOL DESK
The Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG) presents the first desk that fights school dropout. "The Roma school desk" is the new awareness campaign of the FSG.
The objective is to sensitize society and public authorities to work on measures that ensure equal real opportunities for Roma students.
6 out of every 10 Roma girls and boys leave before completing the Compulsory Secondary School, compared to 2 out of 10 of the general population. Among many factors that cause this situation is the absence of referents, low expectations and confidence in their abilities or school segregation.

Equality means starting from Zero
Starting from Zero is an awareness campaign of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano launched in December 2017 to combat discrimination and demand equal opportunities for all people. The campaign emphasizes that discrimination places those who suffer in a disadvantaged position and perpetuates situations of inequality.

The Most Painful Tattoo[editar]
Prejudice is the most painful tattoo
On 16 November of 2016, the International Day for Tolerance, Amanda, a young Roma woman, was got tattooed a prejudice as a protest of the everyday social rejection that Roma population suffer. Support on social media for the cause far exceeded the challenge set (to reach 10 million people) and changed the tattoo message to a positive one.

#LeonorDropsoutSchool[editar]
A campaign to put the education of Roma students on the political agenda
Using the hastag #LeonorDejaLaEscuela (#LeonorDropsoutSchool) and the confusion as a hook, the campaign put the education of Roma girls and boys on the public debate and called the attention to the high rate of early school dropout: 6 out of 10 Roma students leave the studies before finishing the Compulsory Secondary Education.

Have a look at your dreams
Campaign to combat the early drop out of the classrooms of great part of the Roma students. Integrated by different actions: a casting in 21 cities in Spain; a "mentoring" action so that the young, with the hand of a professional of prestige, can have a look to the job of their dreams; also a concert to disseminate the project.

Raising awareness of the need to complete secondary studies for a better future
Awareness-raising campaign of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano to fight against early school leaving among Roma youth. Its actions are aimed at Roma youth aged 12 to 16, insisting on the idea that completing compulsory secondary education is necessary to achieve one's dreams.

Raising awareness on the importance of education and the need for all Roma children to complete their secondary education was the main objective of the campaign “When I grow up I Want To Be...”, which was launched by the FSG in the school year 2010-2011.

Employment as one of the pillars of social inclusion
Prejudices and stereotypes towards Roma act as barriers to employment. In order to combat these barriers, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano launched the “Employment makes us equal” campaign in 2007.

In 2005, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano launched a new campaign that completed the one initiated a year earlier under the slogan “Get to know them before judging them”, which sought to combat the unfair stereotypes associated with the Roma community.

In 2004, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG) launched its first major awareness-raising campaign, funded by the European Social Fund. Its goal? To break down negative stereotypes associated to the Roma community, to combat discrimination and to improve the social image of one of the most stigmatised and rejected social groups in Spain.
